Rebels & Rye
A campaign for a curated retreat service in historic Bedford County, Pennsylvania that is based on our history as a central part of the Whiskey Rebellion of the late 1700’s. We’re highlighting the assets of a delightful rural county through specialized trip planning and adventures. The project includes a lookbook, a website, and accessories to be used with adventure business partners like room keys, bottles, and menus, all with an eye toward entertaining our “rebel” guests.
My hometown of Bedford, Pennsylvania, is a true gem in the region. We combine the best of small-town hospitality, rural relaxation, and stellar food and beverage options as one of the area’s premier tourist destinations. The primary markets for visitors are the Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, and Washington, D.C. areas since they are, respectively, each about 2.5 hours away. This curated retreat lookbook speaks directly to the demands and aesthetics of these visitors.
We’ve taken the feel of the lookbook on-line so that our visitors can do advanced planning and coordination as they put together their Bedford itineraries. Connections with local partners and agencies are highlighted.
Treating our guests
In an effort to show of the best products in the area, these menus of snacks and beverages allow for personalization of the experience. There is true curation in the whole experience depending on the adventures our guests choose. We also focus on our partnerships with producers and culinary artists from the area so the offerings have a truly personal touch. My personal obsession with lovely wooden boards and charcuterie presentations may be evident by now.
To take the retreat experiences to the next level and make sure our guests feel special, a line of Rebels & Rye products were developed. These menus, room amenities, and specialized beverages help separate our retreat packages from others in the area.
