Saturday was a fun day in downtown Bedford as Downtown Bedford Inc. put on its first official Art Walk.
It has been a really long time since I’ve made a mess with a paintbrush since I’ve been so focused on classwork (which is primarily digital). Since I already sell my work at several places downtown I decided not to worry about vending but focus on sharing a look at how I create.
Starting with an orange canvas (which I painted months ago, for really no reason), I did a quick sketch of a view of my porch. (It appears there is a theme developing. Ha!) Then I went to town with my favorite colors and layers and some Posca makers and five hours later I have something that I love! It will always remind me of a rainy morning that turned into a beautiful day with creative friends both old and new!!
